Electrocity's Fringe World celebration
St George's Anglican Grammar School's 10-year anniversary celebrations are kicking off with some signature originality - an Electrocity Ensemble performance at Fringe World that is bringing Electrocity alumni back into the fold.
This year's 10-piece Electrocity ensemble follows in the foot-tapping steps of St George's Electrocity musicians of the past 10 years. Electrocity formed in 2016 out of a week-long co-curricular workshop recording sounds around the Perth CBD and splicing them into samples in the Music Department. The workshop was a big experimental step into the unknown - and still is - culminating in performances to students, staff and parents that have now evolved to gigs at Fringe World.
On 4 and 5 February, Electrocity presents Sync in the City - original contemporary music combining electronics, software and traditional instrumentation with some alumni as guest artists.
Electrocity 2025 has recorded three original songs that they will perform alongside other compilations at the Actor's Hub. (Ticket link below). The songs are Along the River (already out on Apple Music, Google Play and YouTube, below), Be Like Her (live in late January) and Mockingbird (live in early February).

Meet the ensemble:
As part of St George’s 10th anniversary celebrations we have some guest artists coming in, going all the way back to the very start of the group. Should be a great show!
