Inside the Classroom

From academia to the arts, indoor learning to outdoor education – our vertical school has the staff, innovative learning environments and carefully considered curriculum to enable students to succeed in every way possible.

By learning here, the pursuit of local and global knowledge is unlocked and explored. St George’s aims to empower students to discover, meet and exceed their potential academically, personally and spiritually and we believe every student can accomplish great things.

Inside the classroom, lessons are conducted in dedicated learning areas on each of our seven levels, from Science and Music in the basement level to Physical Education activities on the ground floor and also on the rooftop.

As Western Australia's only vertical school in the heart of the City of Perth, St George's Anglican Grammar School delivers a vibrant academic program for all students. In years 7-10 we seek to equip students with future-focussed skills, resilience, and a well-rounded education. We hope to inspire a love of learning, but also make learning fun.

The Year 7-10 curriculum provides a range of opportunities for successful outcomes so that all students explore and maximise the various pathway opportunities presented to them in senior school. Additionally, our learning philosophy of "the city as our campus" gives our academic staff a myriad of opportunities to expand upon student learning by offering St George's students the unique opportunity to have their curriculum taught outside of the school walls. St George's students can be found every day using the City of Perth to strengthen their learning and they uniquely live 'the city is our campus'.

“On the subject of education, I can only say that I view it as the most important subject which we as a people can be engaged in.”
— Abraham Lincoln
